Cranberry Muffins

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups cranberries
1 cup nuts -- chopped

Mix the first seven ingredients together in a large bowl.

Add 1/2 cup of butter / margarine to the bowl and stir well with a fork.

The batter will be very lumpy.

Stir in the juice, vanilla, and eggs.

Lightly mix in cranbierries and nuts.

Spoon into paper- lined muffin cups, filling about 3/4 full.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
