Bowl of Berries Muffins

1 1/2 c Milk ;hot
1 c Oats
2 c Flour
4 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 ts Salt
1 Egg ;beaten
1/4 c Butter ;melted
1 c Blueberries or Rasberries or Strawberries ;sliced


Pour milk over the oats and let stand for 10 minutes. In a large bowl, mix the flour. baking powder. brown sugar and salt. Stir to mix well. Beat the egg and melted butter into the oats. Pour the wet ingredients ovet the dry ingredients and fold until just mixed. Scoop the batter into prepared muffin tins and tuck the berries into the batter, pushing them down slightly. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 12 to 14 muffins.
