Banana Breakfast Muffins

2 lg Mashed bananas
1/3 c Brown sugar
1 c Buttermilk
1 Egg
1 1/2 ts Vanilla
1 c Flour
1 c Whole-wheat flour
3/4 c Natural bran
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Nuts; coarsely chopped

In med bowl, beat together first six (wet) ingredients.

In large bowl, stir together remaining ingredients. Add banana mixture and stir to moisten.

Spoon into 12 greased muffin cups and bake at 425 degrees F for 14 mins until tester comes clean.
