Pecan Muffins

1 c Sugar
1/4 ts Salt
4 ts Cinnamon
2 c Flour
2 ts Baking powder
1 c Milk
1 c Chopped pecans
2 Eggs; beaten
1/2 c Shortening; melted


Sift dry ingredients together. Add pecans. Mix together milk, melted shortening & eggs. Combine dry & liquid ingredients quickly with little stirring. Bake in muffin tins in hot oven (425 degrees) about 15 minutes. Makes 1 dozen.
