Spicy Pumpkin Nut Muffins

2 c Flour
4 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1/2 ts Ground cloves
1/2 c Shortening
1 1/3 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 c Cannned pumpkin to which you add 4 tb milk
1 c Chopped nuts

Mix dry ingredients well. Cream shortening and sugar until smooth, then beat in eggs. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture alternating with pumpkin mixture. Add nuts. Stir only until smooth. Do not beat. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 min. Yield 20.
