Breakfast Muffins

1/3 c. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk


Cream together margarine and sugar. Add egg and mix well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg; stir in alternately with milk. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Yield 12 regular sized muffins, 21 medium muffins. When golden brown, roll in 5 tablespoons melted margarine, then in mixture of 1/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
