Cheddar Muffins

2 c. all-purpose flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted


Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl and make a well in center. Combine egg, milk, butter and add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling 2/3 full. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from pan immediately. Yield 1 dozen.
