Cheesy Bacon Muffins

1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. bacon bits
1 c. quick oats
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Paper line 12 muffin cups. In large bowl stir together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, oats and bacon bits. Combine egg, milk, oil and cheese. Add to flour mixture. Mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. Fill muffin cup 2/3 full and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 12 muffins.
