Jalapeno Corn Muffins

1 c. flour
1 c. cornmeal
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. oil or melted butter or margarine
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese or 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. red pepper (sweet), diced
1/4 c. jalapeno pepper, diced

In medium bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, milk, egg and oil with whisk or fork. Stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, red pepper and jalapeno pepper. Spoon into greased muffin pan and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until they test done with toothpick.
