Orange Muffins

1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. orange rind
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. sour cream
1/2 c. nuts (opt.)

Mix together orange juice and 1 cup of sugar. Set aside. Cream butter, 1 cup sugar and sour cream. Sift together dry ingredients an dad to creamed mixture. Add nuts. Batter will be stiff. Bake in muffin tins at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. If using mini muffins, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to cooling rack immediately. While muffins are still warm, dip tops in sugar and orange juice mixture. Let cool completely before serving.
