Pumpkin Muffins

3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. butter
1 lg. egg
1 c. mashed pumpkin or butternut squash
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. nuts, chopped


Cream sugar, molasses and butter. Blend in egg and pumpkin. Mix flour with salt, beat into pumpkin mixture, fold in nuts. Fill well greased muffin pan cups 2/3 to 3/4 full. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
