Tasty Peach Muffins

1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped peaches (fresh or canned)
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. melted butter or margarine

Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, mixing well. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg and add to the first mixture alternately with the milk. Stir in peaches. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven about 30 minutes until done. Meanwhile, mix together the cinnamon and sugar for topping. When muffins are done, immediately dip muffin tops in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon-sugar topping. Serve warm. Makes 12 muffins.
